First African Conference on Intergenerational Approaches to School - Community Engagement and Whole Child Development

Join us for a groundbreaking event that brings together diverse voices to strengthen multi-stakeholder and intergenerational partnerships in support of the holistic development of children in Kenya. The First African Conference on "Intergenerational Approaches to School - Community Engagement and Whole Child Development" is convened by Jaslika in collaboration with the Kenya National Commission to UNESCO (UNESCO KNATCOM), and the State Department of Youth and Creative Economy, Government of Kenya, and supported by Porticus.

This free, hybrid event builds upon the findings of the "Intergenerational Perspectives on Building Education Better" action research project (2021-2024) and will explore solutions for education, protection, health, and nutrition sectors.

Establish a Network: Launch the WCD Intergenerational Champions Community of Practice Network.

Interactive Sessions: Participate in thematic sessions derived from the Young People’s 7+ Agenda, including discussions on inclusive education, mental health, safe environments, and value-based education.

Dynamic Program: Enjoy morning plenary sessions with keynote speakers, fireside chats, and an exhibition.

Diverse Participants: Network with over 100 in-person and 100 virtual attendees, including young people, advocates, policymakers, practitioners, funders, and researchers.
